About Celebration of Swans

Yukon's premiere bird festival, A Celebration of Swans, brings residents and visitors alike out to great swan viewing areas to welcome spring to the north, arriving on the wings of the Trumpeter Swans.

Over this 9-day period visitors flock to open water making the Celebration of Swans the largest birding event in Yukon. Approximately 10% of Yukoners make their way to Marsh Lake each year to see this spring spectacle. Keep an eye out for the Yukon Celebrates Spring flyer with a schedule of events in your mailbox in early April.

Click on the buttons at the top of the page to find out more about what's happening during the Celebration of Swans, school programs, the poster contest, and Swan Haven on Marsh Lake.
