First Nations Land Claims Implementation
Environment Yukon has many responsibilities and implementation obligations arising from Yukon First Nation Final and Self-Government Agreements, and transboundary land claim agreements. Activities range from Special Management Area planning to fish and wildlife management, boards and councils administration, policy and legislative development, and enforcement and compliance.
First Nation Final Agreements & Self Government Agreements
The following Yukon First Nations had Final Agreements and Self-Government Agreements in effect as of March 2007:

- Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation
- First Nation of Nacho Nyak Dun

- Ta'an Kwäch'än Council
- Kwanlin Dun First Nation
- Carcross-Tagish First Nation

The following Transboundary Agreements were in effect as of April 2002:
