Water Inspections Role
The primary duty of the Water Inspections Unit is to enforce compliance with the Waters Act and Regulations. Water Inspectors conduct inspections on both licensed and unlicensed undertakings which are classified under eight types:
- Industrial
- Quartz mining
- Municipal
- Hydroelectric
- Agriculture
- Conservation
- Recreational
- Miscellaneous (e.g. bridges, culverts, pipeline crossings)
Water Use Licences for Flood Protection
