Inspections of Regulated Activities
The goal of inspections is to verify compliance with the Environment Act and Regulations.
Inspections also promote compliance by:
- following up on corrective action,
- assessing risks associated with new or proposed activities, and
- through information exchange.
Inspections are conducted in accordance with an Inspections Plan, or in response to complaints or occurrences.
