Bison hunting seasons

This year there are two bison hunting seasons:

In the fall season, bison hunting is permitted in:

In the winter season, bison hunting is permitted in all of Game Management Zones 3, 5, 7, 8, and 9. Bison hunting is permitted in most of Zone 4, except for GMS 4-03 and 4-51.

Detailed topographic maps are available for purchase at Environment offices or online for free.

Bison hunt basics

You must obtain permission in advance from the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations, the Kluane First Nation, and/or the Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation if you would like to hunt bison on their Settlement Lands.
