See the Yukon Fishing Regulations Summary for additional information on Fishery Closures.
Salmon Closures
The federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans manages salmon and the salmon fisheries. Information on closure of recreational salmon fisheries can be found on the Fisheries and Oceans Canada website.

Other Fish Farming Lakes
For fish farming lakes not listed, we recommend that as a courtesy, you contact the fish farmer before angling. It’s important to remember that these lakes were fishless prior to being stocked. The fish have been stocked by private individuals at their own expense, after going through a rigorous approval process.
If you are unsure whether or not a pothole lake has been privately stocked, or you would like to contact the fish farmer for permission to fish, contact Environment Yukon at (867) 667-5199.
Publicly Stocked Lakes
Lakes stocked by Yukon Environment for public use are open to angling year round. Please the stocked lakes page for more information.
