GLOBE Canada

Yukoners have developed the Canadian verson of GLOBE, an international environmental monitoring program with incredible teaching support. Its inquiry-based approach to science education is hands-on and has been developed for both primary and secondary levels. Yukon Education offers in-class assistance locally.

NatureWatch Network

NatureWatch is a suite of community-based "citizen science" monitoring programmes including FrogWatch, WormWatch, IceWatch and PlantWatch.

Through these programmes, Environment Canada collects national information on indicators of ecosystem health.

New "citizen science" programmes will soon be available on lichens, tree health and benthic macroinvertebrates.
