What types of licences and permits can I get online?

As of early 2015, you can get the following online:

Will other types be available?

Yes, other types of licences and permits will be available online over time. Some will be available through simple self-serve processes like the Yukon Angling Licence, while others will be more involved, such as submitting an application that will be reviewed by Environment Yukon staff.

Are paper licences and permits still available?

Paper licences and permits will be phased out, but in the meantime, you can still get them at licensed vendors.

Who can get licences and permits from Environment eServices?

Anyone from anywhere in the world can get licences and permits from our website, based on eligibility requirements, such as age and residency.

Can other vendors help me get licences and permits online?

You can get help with our online system at Environment Yukon offices.

Can I get licences and permits by telephone?

No.

When is my licence or permit valid?

Your licence or permit is valid as soon as you have access to the electronic PDF file. It is valid until the expiry date printed on the document.

Do I have to print my licence or permit?

No, but you must be able to produce or display your document when required, such as when requested by a Conservation Officer or Park Officer (e.g., Yukon Angling Licence must be carried with you when fishing; Resident Annual Campground Permit must be displayed in your vehicle when occupying a government campsite).

If I already have a paper licence or permit, can I convert it into an electronic one?

No, but you can set up an account so that you are ready to get one next year. Please note that it is an offence to hold more than one licence or permit of a particular type (e.g., you may have only one active or current Yukon Angling Licence).

If I have lost my original paper licence or permit, can I replace it with an electronic one?

No, you must replace an original paper licence or permit with another paper one, and sign a declaration of loss. Please visit an Environment Yukon office to replace lost paper licences.

If I have an electronic licence or permit, can I convert it into a pre-printed paper one?

No, you cannot convert an electronic licence or permit into a pre-printed paper version. You can, of course, print your electronic version as needed.


If you’ve lost the copy that you printed previously, you may simply reprint the document from your Environment Yukon eServices account.
