Celebration of Swans
Storefront Challenge 2013
Last year several businesses participated in the storefront challenge, to decorate their office space with a swan theme.
This year we hope that even more offices and storefronts get into the spring spirit by decorating!
Yukon Brewing (Copper Road, Whitehorse) shows that their talents extend beyond crafting fine ales. Fine window art is also a forte.

Mac's Fireweed Books (Main Street, Whitehorse) gets things started this year with a window display featuring books about birds.
How to participate
Consider your products and how they might relate to swans and the coming of spring. Feature these items in a display and use free Celebration of Swans posters and props to accent it.
Posters are available from the Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce and Environment Yukon office (10 Burns Road).
Decorate your office areas, put up a display, paint your windows, or promote special products
Send a photo of your display to the Wildlife Viewing Program so that we can:
- post a special "shout out" to participating businesses on our website, and at Celebration of Swans events
- list participating business on a banner at Swan Haven
- provide a special mention to the best display in our annual Celebration of Swans newspaper Thank You ad
Decorate during April
The Celebration of Swans runs from April 13-21, 2013, but feel free to start your display at the beginning of April to tie in with Yukon’s Biodiversity Awareness Month and Earth Day.
Have questions? Need ideas?
Wildlife Viewing staff are happy to provide additional information about the Storefront Challenge or any other Celebration of Swans event.
