Artist Biography

Gureeta Rai was born in India and moved to the Yukon in 1983. Living in the Yukon for the past 33 years has been an inimitable and treasured experience for her.

As an outdoor enthusiast, Gureeta spends much of her spare time in uncharted areas throughout the Yukon, with her trusty companionthe camera. She has watched the territory grow and expand. However, the small-city hospitality, vast untouched landscape, and abundance of wildlife have not changed over the years. Photography allows Gureeta to express her creativity, love for nature, and to form a unique connection with the surrounding natural creations.

Photography is a passion that drives Gureeta through life and brings her immense joy. She hopes this photo can convey her joyfulness and excitement onto you.
